GEM KIDS (Grades 1 – 5)
A playful and engaging introduction to the performing arts, GEM Kids offers a rich mix of singing, dancing, acting, and imaginative play. Young artists build confidence, communication skills, and self-awareness while having fun and learning collaboration.

We were thrilled, a few weeks ago, to announce the first-ever class of GEM Kids, one strand of a new youth-centered arts education program being launched by Melanee Wyatt. We were even more thrilled to see such an outpouring of excitement and appreciation from the community. So many YES Company alumni reposted/shared the GEM Kids information and recounted the positive impact that working with Melanee had on their lives.
Unfortunately, registration numbers have not matched up with that outpouring of excitement. Enrollment needed to be higher to meet the scope of the curriculum and learning objectives. This summer’s class is being postponed until next summer.
We realize that news of GEM Kids went public rather late in spring, when many families have already decided upon summer trips, vacations, camps, classes, and the like — so we will be sure to make Summer 2026 information available much earlier.
Until then, please bookmark this page. If you’d like to be added to an email list about future GEM (Gotta Express Myself) offerings, visit the website and drop a line on the contact page!
GEM JR. (Grades 4 – 8)
Designed for developing young performers, GEM Jr. provides deeper training in musical theater, ensemble work, voice, and movement. Participants explore creative expression through performance, character development, and teamwork, gaining valuable skills in focus, discipline, and artistic responsibility.

GEM TEENS (Grades 8 – 12)
For older youth ready to refine their artistry and leadership, GEM Teens offers advanced training in acting, singing, and choreography. Students engage with socially relevant themes, and classic pieces, preparing for future opportunities in performance, higher education, and beyond.
